Please support the work of the Ontario Woodlot Association. It is vitally important to small woodlot owners for encouraging more woodlot owners to take an active interest in their forests. There is a great need for co-operatives to form for small woodlot owners to negotiate the sale of small lots of wood which is harvested by land owners. This would help create more interest in actively managing small woodlots. Contractors have no interest in small woodlots since the quantity of wood offered is too small for the cost of harvesting with expensive machinery.
