It has come to my attention that municipalities no longer have the ability to control whether or not aggregate extraction takes place below the water table.
I also note that the Region of Waterloo has submitted a proposal after reviewing your latest.
The loss of control over ground water protection in our Region is unacceptable.
I strongly recommend you adopt the changes proposed by Regional staff to keep our drinking water and supply safe.
Please work with and respect our Regional experts . I trust them to look out for us. This is the community we live in and they have and will continue to express our concerns.
