The encroachment closer to Floral Park increases the hazardous amount of carcinogenic silica dust in the air, adds to the noise pollution and threatens home foundations and wells. Because many of us are here seasonally, we are not given the consideration applied to full-time residential areas, but our right to enjoy our properties free from threats to our health should not be superceded by your need to mine gravel.
