I am fully supportive of the IESO's efforts to continue the conservation programs that have been so successful in the past. These initiatives are vital to improving the 'energy productivity' of Ontario homes and businesses. The employment benefits of the conservation industry (manufacturers, suppliers, tradespeople, technical professionals etc) are well known and will only grow as the need for environmentally sustainable solutions continues. Ontario is fortunate to have such a low-carbon electricity system and this will be a vital resource in the shift from other carbon intensive energy sources. Conservation is a proven, low cost approach to free up that low carbon electricity capacity to displace fossil fuels. Let's keep on this path to environmental success!
