My sister is an active falconer in Ontario. She began falconry in the United States where taking a bird from the wild has been long instated. I believe, in seeing my sister grow as a falconer, that getting a bird from the wild instills a respect for the animal and the environment and as such makes one a better falconer. I approve of the MNRF's proposal and I believe it will work in Ontario.

The OHC has been monitoring goshawk nesting sites which provided data about the goshawk population. I strongly support the wild take of goshawks now and in the future and limiting the draw of goshawks to general falconers.
