I think this is a great proposal to move forward. This will greatly benefit the state of falconry and of citizen conservation efforts. No group I can think of as a whole has demonstrated such a focus on conservation as falconers. In my research i have found that local provincial falconers have even taken it upon themselves to count nest sites over years. My understanding is that taking wild raptors greatly increases a falconers proficiency as a handler. I think it's amazing that even in these tough times that the MNR is doing something to further the sport and I fully support this.
