NO TO ANY EXTENSION TO THE MORATORIUM. ERO number 019-2319
Nestle's has shown itself world wide to not be a company that considers the rights or needs of the people living in the targeted area. In fact the entire water bottling industry has been based on selling a false sense of belief that their many times more costly product is a healthier choice for consumers over the water received from municipalities even when the water they supply comes from those same facilities. Hyperbole or fraud?
The taking of water from the locations included in this study do not appear to exceed the allowable amounts indicated in their permits, presuming that the amounts allowed are decided by proper scientific studies, which we consumers have no way of confirming.
Even if the amount of water takings are of no concern as per the BluMetric's reports there does not seem any reference to be an even greater and well reported issue and that is due to the the pollution created by the disposal and lack of disposal of the the single use plastic bottles as well as other single use plastic items, i.e. https://davidsuzuki.org/action/zero-waste-pledge/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwqfz6BRD….
Also needing consideration is the energy costs of operating the filling facilities, the manufacture of the bottles and their caps, and the transportation costs associated with the delivery of all these items.
This is a far more reaching issue than taking water from an population in Ontario, please deny this proposal.
