As a licensed falconer I’ve often skipped years applying to the wild take authorization because I don’t want to take a band away from other falconers. A lot of us think of others that way. It’s an asset to us to fly a trapped hawk over captive-bred especially Red-tails and I support this proposal because it means that I won’t have to be concerned with saving room for others to apply anymore. I’ve being able to trap a wild bird helps us to keep track of population and to give that bird a fighting chance at its first year of survival. Thank you for your consideration to this proposal.
