As an apprentice falconer I am very pleased to see the MNR proposal for wild take. This would be a huge improvement for falconry. Captive birds cannot be released back to the wild, so if my personal circumstances should change and can no longer keep the bird l would be able to release the bird. My falconry experience would improve dramatically having the opportunity to train more birds on a predictable basis.
