Falconers have played an important role in species conservation. They were an integral part of bringing the endangered Peregrine Falcon back from the brink of extinction. I fully support the proposal to enhance access of wild birds to apprentice falconers. It is an important skill falconers have done for thousands of years and it invites more novice falconers to partake in an incredible past-time. Falconers consistently advocate for habitat and species conservation and this proposal will encourage the next generation of falconers to do so.
