I believe that the proposal is a good one for falconers. An easier access to birds of prey as well as more species wpuld help the hobby to grow. The predicted impact on the bird species amd population is neutral so there would be no megative impact on conservation. With easier access to birds, more individuals may be inclined to join other enthusiasts. The Ministry has regulations in place that are to ensure the well being of animals. If more people join and become falconers, awareness of conservation and animal care will increase in communities across Ontario. The proposals given by the Ministry have my full support - as a citizen as well as a veterinarian.
