This is a direct attack on working poor and folks trying to get by on ODSP. Many folks rely on this mode of transportation for their independence, going to work, getting groceries, doctors appointments etc. They cannot afford insurance and maintenance of other vehicles. Most of the "weight" can be attributed to the batteries, so reduced weight means reduced range, again attacking their freedom to get around. As a matter of fact, there is an E-Bike model called the FREEDOM.
