I would like to know why no connection is being made for residents located on and off Highway 11 (Timmins, Kapuskasing, Hearst, etc) to the west? If you google transportation from Kapuskasing to Thunder Bay, without your own personal transportation, you have one option... a 24h20 bus ride through Sudbury and White River, for a 611 km distance (approx. 7 hrs.)! This is unreasonable and no one will ever consider this! My mother is not able to come visit her daughters in Thunder Bay; my brother who is undergoing cancer treatment in Thunder Bay does not have the option of taking the bus from Kapuskasing; students going to Confederation College or Lakehead University do not have any transportation options from this area. When I went to college many years ago, I travelled by bus at least 6 times a year to Kap from Thunder Bay. Not to mention this removed affordable transportation options for these residents to all of the west, including Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver!! I would suggest a small bus or van be considered for those distances that are not covered. Before COVID, Kasper Transportation ran a small bus service from Longlac to Thunder Bay and other areas. Therefore, the missing link would be from Kapuskasing to Longlac which is approximately a 3 hr drive. Clearly something can be done to fix that missing link and connect these areas? Please address this and connect these residents to the west! Thank You
