I oppose the Campbellville…

I oppose the Campbellville Quarry for important environmental reasons for the area and for all who travel the 401. At the very least this proposed project must be subject to a rigorous environmental assessment for the damage it will inflict on not only the water of the area and for its residents but also the negative effects on the wildlife in the area, the harm of flying rocks for drivers on the 401, plus the harm inflicted on the area due to thousands of gravel trucks to and from the quarry. By blasting this quarry underwater pathways will open the ground water to surface toxins which in turn will affect the well water of local residents and the Kelso wells and those who depend on it for their water supply. The emissions from blasting will spew into the air carcinogenic particulate and dust and pollution affecting the air people and animals have to breath. Asphalt production will also poison the air for everyone in the vicinity . Blasting noise will affect all those who live or work in the are, people and wildlife. This project will negatively affect important wetlands in the area. This proposal is too close to where people live and need clear air and clean water, and too close to the 401 and environmentally sensitive lands.
