Public support for the preservation of wetland in Pickering should serve as ample evidence that the residents of Ontario do not support MZOs and amending the political documents to avoid running afoul of current Provincial Policy will face public scrutiny and backlash outside of Queen's Park almost guaranteed to be opposed to changing the provincial policy. If the legislation is changed, it will not be enforced or acted upon as I and others will protest under our Charter rights to protect the environment from the government we elected.
