It was great when Ontario phased out coal. We put less pollution and CO2 into the air so there was less smog, and things like respiratory health improved. My asthma stopped bothering me, and summer skies were much clearer than they were before. Now it's time to go 100% green. Nuclear energy isn't renewable, and nuclear waste is dangerous. Burning natural gas for heating still puts CO2 into the atmosphere, contributing to climate change. Let's invest in better public transit, clean energy options like solar, wind and geothermal. Green and renewable energy technologies are rapidly improving. If we invest in them and use them, they can only continue to improve more and faster. Let's protect the health and longevity of Ontarians by investing in green energy to heat out homes, power our electronic devices, and drive our cars, all the while reducing the effects of climate change and protecting the environment we depend on.
