I strongly object to this…

I strongly object to this site plan amendment regarding the Miller Paving Ltd. pit Boyington #3. As I understand it, the MNRF's role is to provide oversight and monitor activities on these aggregate pits. I also am aware that this operator has been cited for non-compliance over many years and to date has failed to correct the non-conforming uses in existence at the pit.

It appears that the MNRF is prepared to turn this over to the local Township to monitor thus essentially "washing its hands of this problem". That is completely unacceptable for a government body to conduct itself in such a manner. It is your responsibility to ensure that operators comply and respect the laws that govern aggregate pits.

I request that this application is denied and this operator is directed to cease and desist the non approved uses at this site.
