I do not support Miller's request and application.

Miller has a history of non-compliance having been inspected and told to remove their contractor’s yard in 2010, 2015, and 2020, and has not only ignored this but increased the size of the contractor’s yard.
This Miller pit is located on a Highly Vulnerable Aquifer within the Oak Ridges Moraine, and bringing in fill from the GTA provides a significant risk to our water.
Pits are by definition temporary and are to be returned to their natural state – this application would turn the Miller Site into an industrial site indefinitely, and one sitting on top of a highly vulnerable aquifer in the Oak Ridges Moraine. I believe this is illegal under the ORMCP.
As part of this application, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is handing over the reins of responsibility to the Township of Uxbridge to manage – this should not be allowed nor does the Township have the personnel or experience to effectively oversee an operation like this. Please reject this application. We need to focus on preservation of the Oak Ridges Moraine, not the destruction of it.
