As an Ontario resident and…

As an Ontario resident and young person I am highly disturbed by this motion, submitted under the radar and in the middle of a pandemic where a lack of forward government planning is resulting in the unnecessary deaths of hundreds of Ontarians.

During a time period where the widespread consensus is more needs to be done on climate change not less, I am disgusted that the governor would slip this uncampaigned on and significant change into legislation. The backwards thinking and going behind Ontarians backs on this is not the way forward and I truely hope for the future of the province and young Ontarians future the government will reconsider taking thus giant leap backwards; especially given we are already living through the brutal consequences of reductionist and untransparent desicion making.

At minimum I hope the government reconsiders such a significant move until after an electoral period and let's Ontarians now what they are voting for rather than pushing their own unmandated agenda at the expense of Ontarians health and safety.
