Miller paving should not be allowed to resolve the noncompliant site by transferring oversight to the Township of Uxbridge. The Township had neither the expertise not the personel to provide proper oversight. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) is responsible for the licensing of aggregate extraction operations under the Aggregate Resources Act (ARA), and should continue to have oversight of this, and needs to properly and fully enforcement the current non-compliance order to the full extent of their powers. Miller, having been in violation for 15 years needs to be held accountable and appropriately penalized for their ongoing violation and defiance of its enforcement.
