PC quarries is not remediation pit 2, they are using it as a personal roadway and dump. It is foolish to allow them to expand at this point.
This quarry site is on top of a vulnerable aquifer that provides water to 1000s of homes farmstead from here to Philadelphia, the human and economic impact if they contaminate the aquifer is potentially enormous and irreversible. Rankin has lied publicly saying it would only impact a couple hundred people.
The place they want to blast is an old raceway, with plenty of now illegal contaminants. This needs to be rehabbed. If Rankin digs there there is potential contaminants being introduced to the aquifer.
Please don't allow this. The health of our families depend on this choice.
