If you've been to the Ajax waterfront during the summer the issue with algae is readily apparent. This is a result of increased amounts of "treated" water being pumped into the lake. If you're going to allow further development in York Region then a better solution needs to be found. It's unfair to people living in Ajax and using the waterfront to be subjected to the smell and sight of algae rotting in the summer heat while York residents are impacted at all
