Rather than removing trees from their job of sequestering carbon, I recommend that we dive into the hundreds of new designs making wind power efficient and adaptable, and even beautiful, particularly for micro grids and individual buildings. The huge wind turbines have drawn criticism from some quarters, but that is only one design, and not the best. Aim for net zero buildings.
