Given rapidly changing water regimes and the biodiversity crisis, I strongly object that funding be reduced to Ontario’s conservation authorities. Their mandate should stay the same and their funded expanded. This proposal, by forcing conservation authorities to beg for funding for so-called “non core” activities will greatly hamper their effectiveness.
