Please do not cut funding to conservation authorities. They do priceless work in nature and biodiversity conservation and work to educate the public on issues such as water quality and private land management (e.g. erosion). With climate change progressing, water security and conservation is paramount for future generations. The importance of this cannot be underestimated.
