With climate change being the biggest threat to our country, both economically and humanitarian, in the future, removal of cap and trade is the wrong direction to go especially with no apparent system to replace it. Carbon taxes and cap&trade fuel innovation as companies look for newer technology and better processes to control their emissions and is part of the reason our steel industry is both cleaner and more profitable than our American counterparts. We need some sort of plan to protect the future or else there may not be one, at least not one people will want to live in.
