Increasing deforestation, which is the last thing one should do if one is serious about addressing climate change. We need MORE forests not less and the old growth forests cannot be replaced--their function in the environment has evolved over thousands of years. Cut them down and they're gone for ever as is their environmental impact. New plantings can never do the same. So in short: do not expand the wood pellet industry.
