I truly appreciate the efforts of the Ontario government to reduce carbon emissions and to curtail coal-generated energy. Wood pellets, however, are not an acceptable alternative, and simply divert one environmental problem into another. Although biomass theoretically uses waste wood, the amount of wood pellets needed incentivizes companies to increase deforestation. Please do not go down this road.
