Cuts to our Conservation…

Cuts to our Conservation Authorities are an egregious attack on Ontario families. It is the CAs which have provided refuge before and during Covid to those in need of escape from urban sprawl. It is the CAs that protect our waterways and wildlife, and prevent devastating floods in our suburbs. It is the CAs that make each of our regions' ecologies stand out as unique.

Families in Ontario want stronger support and funding for CAs, not cuts. We want expanded services, education and access. Further, these proposed changes and cuts point to underhanded developer lobbying. No business should ever have the opportunity to ruin the natural landscape or the environment permanently because of today's political favouritism or lobbying.

If Ontario is to be "open for business", that must be done with the highest protections for our ecology and our treasured regional conservation areas. Families demand that.
