I support the proposal to remove the 5-year expiry of Agricultural Operation Planning (AOP) certificate. However, farms that prepare their own Nutrient Management Strategy should be inspected:
- 1 year after a Record of Approval is granted for their farm/farm unit
- Every 5 years (all phased-in farms/farm units with a NMS prepared by a AOP certificate holder) to
ensure they are following the Nutrient Management Act regulations
