I am strongly opposed to this proposal. Reinstitute the climate change plan and programs that were in place when this government took power: cap and trade; development of green energy industry; assistance to citizens to reduce energy consumption. All of those elements have been shown to be effective strategies in other jurisdictions and internationally. There is absolutely no need to change. The explanation for changing given during the election campaign are backward. Reducing the price of gasoline for vehicles only serves to slow transition.
