I oppose the proposed change…

I oppose the proposed change to Environmental Assessments required for so-called ‘advanced recycling’ or any form of thermal treatment. Residents of Ontario have a right to know what is being proposed for their own communities and to comment on it. I am concerned about the impact of new 'advanced recycling' facilities in my community, as I live near an industrial area.
‘Advanced recycling’ includes a wide range of very different technologies, most of which are experimental - this should have more, not less public notice and opportunity for evaluation of health and environmental impacts.
I strongly disagree with the changing the definition of ‘recycling’ to include plastic-to-fuel. Converting plastic to any form of fuel should be considered disposal or waste-to-energy, not recycling.
