I completely object to the cancellation of the Cap and Trade program. Halting this program has removed a strategic lever to help reduce overall emissions in Ontario, and the world over. It is short sighted to believe that this is just a "cash grab" -- there is no free way to fix the environment, and disincentives (i.e. caps on pollution and requirement to buy credits) are one of the only ways to move forward. I have seen no concrete evidence that this is just a "cash grab" by the government, yet there have been many reports of how pollution has dropped since cap and trade has been implemented.
