t is frustrating to see the most progressive province in Canada abdicate its role as a leader in the quest to develop a carbon free world essential for the survival of humanity as we know it.
Specifically, putting an end to incentives for business and the general public to R&D reduced carbon technologies and ending Cap and Trade.
The ending of Cap and Trade will make the gas plant debacle look like a school yard incident by the time it shakes out. Not only have hundreds of millions of dollars been lost to essential energy conservation and infrastructure upgrades, all by the way being done without spending a single tax dollar, but the source of those funds - polluting industries are going to want those same dollars back and those dollars will come from the public purse.
