I feel like the leases should be made permanent part of the Rondeau Park Management Plan, not just extended for a 2-year period.
The 278 cottage leases provide a consistent source of park revenue through both the lease fees as well as the yearly and daily entrance fees that they generate from residents and their visitors.
Loss of this revenue will surely decrease the resources available to maintain park programs including the interpretative centre.
