While I appreciate that the proposed plan would add more land to the greenbelt if implemented, I oppose the removal of any lands from the Greenbelt. What is the point of designating lands as protected if they can just have that protection removed later?

Furthermore, while affordable housing is an urgent need, I do not want low-density housing that requires a substantial commute to get to work or cultural centres. Plus, what about the financial and environmental costs of adding all the infrastructure to support these new developments? I would prefer higher-density housing closer to urban centres. Shorter commutes, less environmental impact. Please do not remove lands from the Greenbelt!
