I am extremely worried about…

I am extremely worried about development on the green belt. This is one of the beautiful, unique features of Ontario and the fact that we have preserved it this long makes me proud to be Canadian. The farmlands are critical. I don’t agree with this proposal and worry it will open the floodgates for developers. the green belt also retains water, building over this would have significant affects for water ways and lead to more flooding issues. If you want to address housing, address affordability as a foundation. Increased funding for benefits such as ODSP so people can afford basic costs, such as rent. We don’t need more homes. We don’t need to expand urban sprawl. We need affordability in the existing supply of homes
