As a resident of Ontario I strongly oppose this plan. The addition of 9400 acres includes land already protected within city boundaries, this is intentionally misleading the public.

We cannot remove green space in the midst of a climate crisis. There is already enough land within urban boundaries than can be developed to add additional housing.

A decision like this made without scientific backing surely appears to be motivated by lobbying of land developers and speculators not in the best interest of the public.
