I am extremely concerned…

I am extremely concerned about the proposed changes to the green belt protections. In an era of climate change and food insecurity, I think it is incredibly irresponsible of our provincial government to be promoting urban sprawl and congestion.

The province should be looking at other options like higher density missing middle housing, using policy levers to entice developers to build 3 bedroom condos that are attractive for families who want to stay closer to the centre but can’t afford to.

There are other ways to create more housing for folks. Continued disregard for environmental protections will ensure that my next vote will not be going to the Conservative Party.
