This is a lazy, shortsighted proposal that is only a band-aid solution to a bigger problem. Taking away from the best most fertile farming land on earth, which we will need to feed ourselves in the future and have food security to build only 50 000 houses is undeniably a terrible idea. We need to improve density not sprawl even further!
