This is ecologically destructive and will contribute to our climate crisis. The Greenbelt is there to protect and filter our water and air and damage to it cannot be undone - turning it into another paved car-centric region will have terrible environmental consequences. I also have no faith that the housing built will be affordable. Where are our mid-rises? Our walkable communities with good public transit? Ford has backtracked on his promise to preserve the Greenbelt.
