I do not agree with this…

I do not agree with this proposal to develop on the Greenbelt. With the climate crisis at hand, the proposed plan to replace green spaces with houses will accelerate climate change. Simply replacing one region of green space with another elsewhere, as is proposed by the government, does not necessarily "cancel out" this development. It doesn't take into account how these land changes will disrupt wildlife and resources in those areas that can interact in complex ways.

While I agree more needs to be done to ensure access to affordable and accessible housing, developing on the Greenbelt is NOT the only answer and the short term gains are not worth the devastating consequences of climate change that will follow.

Hold up your pledge to not develop the Greenbelt, Doug Ford.
