I would like to emphasize that i am extremely disappointed with this proposal

The Ford Government had stated unequivocally that they will not harm the green belt. Minister Clark is on record stating "We’re not going to entertain any conversations about a land swap on the Greenbelt".

Is it a case of the party lying to the public regarding their intentions?

Here is why the Greenbelt should not be touched in addition to the fact that the government had promised they wont be

1. It is the only accessible to greenspace for most GTA residents
2. It is the only available space for wildlife in the GTA
3. As the government has already cancelled plans for renewable energy. Greenbelt remains the only Cooling effect. With an impending energy shortage, and no real plan to remediate it, and the increasing temperatures of the GTA, we are going to put massive stain on our energy grid
4. Increasing sprawl - actively deteriorates our quality of life and air quality. We need density, not sprawl.
