While it is good to see that there will be more protected land area added than removed in this proposed amendment, there does not seem to be any indication as to the environmental impact of the proposed removed land vs. the addition of new land. More needs to be done to ensure that the environmental impact of these removed lands is not a net negative in comparison to the addition of the new land area. The environmental impact is not made clear at all in the proposed amendment, rather it seems like a simple accounting of land area being added/removed which is concerning.

Additionally, the fact that some of the proposed lands to be added to the Greenbelt Area already have pre-existing constraints presumably to protect the land adds further weight to the question surrounding the overall impact of the proposed land being removed vs added.

As a Canadian citizen living in these areas, the environmental impact of this proposal is my primary concern and as it stands, that has not been addressed with this notice.
