Opening the Green Belt is incredibly short-sighted. Ontario has a housing problem, this is true, but we should be increasing density, not permitting reckless sprawl.
There's only so many wetlands to go around. Creating more protected land elsewhere isn't a one for one solution to eating up the Green Belt.
Suburban expansion is pandering. We should end exclusionary zoning and building tall, not wide. Protect the Green Belt.
