I have lived in Hamilton my entire life; I do not want development on any Greenbelt lands. The Greenbelt is an important part of our city, environment & economy; Hamiltonians have already spoken. City Hall has already voted to NOT expand the urban boundary because we know what that land means to us & our future - especially because of climate change.
There are other places to build within the boundary & we can densify housing without destroying the land our LOCAL elected representatives have vowed to protect.
The province doesn’t get to run roughshod over municipal decisions, we still live in a democracy, regardless of Ford’s actions.
