This policy is destroying the environment and ruining the quality for this and future generations as a result. Protected lands should be increased, not diminished. This policy will only encourage further urban sprawl and exacerbate the transportation, environmental, and public health issues it causes. New homes should be build by increasing density in the central parts of the city, not by destroying the few natural areas still unscathed.
