No! No! No! This government pledged to maintain the Greenbelt intact. That pledge helped get Tories elected as I recall. Abort your promise at your peril.

Tell Ottawa to direct its 6 million migrants to towns across Canada desperate for rejuvenation. The GTA cannot handle them. Hospitals are a disaster. Housing is a disaster. Sacrificing the Greenbelt and remaining productive farmland in the GTA is futile, and a non-starter.

Hospitals are far beyond capacity now. More housing will only compound that problem. Food is already costly beyond the means of many GTA residents. Irreplaceable farmland is already being buried beneath malls and subdivisions. The new York Region Official Plan calls for even more predatory plans to bury more farms. This is suicide.

Look at your own pock-marked map. It is obvious that the next move will be to merge the pock-marks. Call a halt to this destruction of our environment that you claim is of such critical importance to our future. Your map proclaims that money is far more important than our survival.
