I am writing to share my deep concern about the possible development of Ontario’s green belt. This green space is a vital part of Ontario’s sustainability in the face of climate change, of our natural heritage, and of our liveability. I strongly disagree with ANY development of this land for commercial or residential purposes. There are many other options to solve our need for housing. We can build vertically in already developed neighbourhood, we can I eat in midsize buildings, and more. The repurposing of this land is irresponsible and fails to care for the well-being of Ontarians now and in the future.
