This is unacceptable! We are in a global climate crisis and we are destroying what small amounts of green space we have left!
There are numerous areas that are already urbanized/developed that can be used for affordable housing. Developing and deforesting parts of the greenbelt is not the solution.
Once we start to develop and build on these protected areas, they will be gone forever. This will have a huge impact on everyone for generations to come.
I am all for affordable housing but NOT at the cost of destroying our green belts!
